Bullet Journal - Pages 38-39

This is my all time favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. I decided to illustrate it on these pages of my Bullet Journal.

Bullet Journal - Pages 36-37

I stuck to a simple black and white color scheme for these pages. All the blank space around the lettering on the "You Are Enough" page was a little hard for me. I want to fill it! But I decided to keep it simple and let it be enough.

Bullet Journal - Pages 34-35

I'm not thrilled with the way the M-W side of this ended up. But it's a To Do List so how attached to it do I really need to be, right? I'm bugged that "piano" ended up looking like "plano" because I added the flower to the top of the i.

Bullet Journal - Pages 32-33

The prompt for this pink page was Personal Triumphs. I decided to do some specific to Bullet Journalling triumphs. I also intentionally chose to just use my regular, everyday handwriting instead of a bunch of different lettering. So....it's not really my favorite page, but it'll do.
The prompt for this page was Print which I took to mean printing as opposed to cursive. I've been wanting too illustrate this recipe for a while and decided this was as good a time as any. (I love this tea, but my son took a big swig of it thinking it was regular apple juice. He was not impressed and that's where the Crapple Juice name came from.)

Bullet Journal - Pages 30-31

I like the black, white, and green color scheme. It just sort of happened and I decided to continue it even though I really, really wanted to color that toilet plunger! I refrained and I'm glad. I like the simplicity. Relative simplicity--I know it's pretty chaotic by most people's standards. :)

I adore Shel Silverstein's poetry and "Hat" is the only poem I can recite from memory. Not sure what that says about me. But there ya go!
I also love Will & Grace and Karen is just so great!
The Bullet Journal adventure continues. I know I keep saying this, but I am LOVING having this little place to write and draw each day and I'm LOVING setting aside a few minutes each day to work in this book!!!

Bullet Journal - Pages 28-29

I went a little more traditional with my daily lists for these 3 days. It probably won't stick. I'll go back to my normal chaos I'm sure. The words next to the girls say "Big hair, don't care". They seem to fit her. I had to get quite creative with the print on her shirt to hide the dotted line that cut through her midsection. But I wanted her to span all 3 days.
I did not know this was called a pangram. (I have since fixed the mis-spell on the actual page). I guess I didn't know it was called anything. It was fun to letter and do a little illustration to go with it.

Lettering - Happiness

Lettering Prompt for TogetherWeLetter for May 12th was: Happiness

Bullet Journal - Pages 26-27

I decided not to do daily To Do lists on the weekend and I didn't want Friday to have it's own page so I sort of shimmied it in on the side of Thursday. Works for me. :)

The Favorite Words page was done for RockYourHandwriting.

Bullet Journal - Pages 22-23 and 24-25

These pages were all done for the RockYourHandwriting lettering challenge on Instagram and Facebook. These pages took so much longer than I though they would, but it was pure fun and I'm glad to have them in my Bullet Journal whenever I need some lettering references and inspiration!!

Illustration Friday - Tattoo

Papermate Flair and Prismacolor Markers on paper

I felt like the tattoo was fitting for Mother's Day this Sunday. :)

Illustration Friday - the theme this week is TATTOO

Bullet Journal - Pages 20-21

A lot going on here on these two pages. I've got some lettering challenges and some notes from a podcast and some new lettering (the Monday May 2 box) that I'm trying out and really enjoying.

This is my favorite Green Smoothie recipe. It was fun to illustrate it. I'm sure I'll be doing some more favorite recipes in my Bullet Journal.

Bullet Journal - Pages 18-19

I NEVER work in pencil anymore. But I decided to do a full page spread with just pencil. The Sunday Faces were done with a Pental P205 Mechanical Pencil and the pies were done with a regular No. 2 pencil.

I had forgotten how much I love to shade with graphite pencil. Pencil is very fragile and delicate to me--the pages can smear and that bugs me. So I did spray a bit of a Matte Fixative on the pages once the drawings were done to avoid that.

On the Sunday Faces page I decided to use the ghosting from the previous page to my advantage and used the squares that I could already see through the page as my guide.

Bullet Journal - Pages 16-17

I'm really excited about these pages. In each little square (they are 1"x1") I will do a little doodle that represents a memory of that day. Stay tuned to see the finished page at the end of May...

Bullet Journal - Pages 14-15

My daughter always teases me that I don't know when to stop on a drawing or painting. May I present Exhibit A? :)

I was having too much fun writing about my dog who is my favorite animal in the whole world that I just didn't stop. It's crazy and it's chaos, but I like it.
